SORCERY (update)
THE SPHERE OF PROBABLE REALITY
This is one of the spheres of the Sorcery ensemble (see below) and one of the Mystery sub-cluster.
It was previously one of unknown location and description (January 2018). But now it has found a description and its own title. The infiniteness of space (relative to which all finite distances are the same except when measured against each other) allows this sphere a radius of 10 to the power of 33 metres, extending from the centre of the Earth, although it does not rotate with the Earth as is it fixed relative to the background of the visible stars in constellations.
The radius of 10 to the power of 33 metres is more than a million times the radius of the visible universe and so encompasses (a finite part of) an infinite multiverse containing other universes like or unlike our own. Whilst there may be infinite other sub-universes within the infinite background energy of this space, probability dictates that only a finite strand of them can be physically real relative to our sub-universe - by virtue of sharing the same crucial speed (of light) constant and a relatively static position to the centre of the sphere. Within its volume this sphere may contain more than 10 to the power of 19 (i.e. 10 billion billion) sub universes like ours, on average, with hundreds of billions of galaxies, each containing hundreds of billions of stars (and maybe as many planets as stars).
The 10 to the power of 33 metres distance is the range at which, from the observer’s point of view , the collective masses of the other sub universes effects a gravitational redshift that (like a black hole) renders them invisible (giving an answer to Olbers paradox). Yet there may still be evidence for their existence ( this multiverse model) in three mysterious effects we see within our visible universe:..
1, the accelerating expansion of our visible universe,
2, the dark matter effect in galactic rotations and
3, a background progressive gravitational redshift applied to objects within our cosmos that can account for the 9% difference in the Hubble rate measurement between cosmic microwave background radiation and astronomical observations.
The theory behind these numbers is expressed in more detail in this you tube video; Mark James Cosmic Paper - YouTube
The Rest of the Sorcery ensemble is as follows...
SORCERY
Sorcery is a conceptual artwork by @Markthestars consisting of 48 spheres of pure space each measuring 2.4 metres in diameter. They are installed in clusters of 4 in various locations and each of the 12 clusters given its own name. They will last as such, for an eternity.
Here are the twelve clusters and their locations:
THE BUBBLES OF JOY
This cluster of four are installed in the Tate Modern gallery in London. They are mobile and wander through the gallery and the site outside amongst the visitors. In the night they rest.
THE BOUNCERS
This group are inside the Newport Street Gallery in London. They are moving very slowly and bouncing off the walls, but going through the visitors. In time, maybe a thousand years or more, the building will collapse or be demolished and then the bouncers will escape and travel out into infinite space, leaving the Earth
THE BEACH BALLS
This group wander on the beach and sand dunes of Oxwich bay on the Gower peninsula in Wales.
THE GHOSTS
This group wander around the archaeological ruins of Chichen Itza in Mexico during the night. In the day they are still, each one resting 5 meters above one of the buildings.
THE QUARTET OF HOPE
This group are in still positions resting on the ground, on the north, south, east and west points of Vire Island on the river Dart in Totnes, Devon.
THE UNTITLED
This group are inside the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea London in undetermined places.
THE ETERNAL ATTRACTIONS
This group are in the Modern Art Oxford gallery, with a pair in each of the large rooms on the first floor.
THE MARK JAMES BRIDGER WAS HERE
This group are in the Serpentine gallery in Hyde Park, London; one in each of the main spaces and one outside in the pavilion area.
THE RIVER WATCHERS
This group are at Pinkhill lock on the Thames, near Oxford; one pair 48 mts. downstream of the lock and the other pair 48mts upstream of the lock. They are always 4 metres above the water levels.
THE ONE FOR THE MONEY
This group has disintegrated and reformed as separate 1cm cubed pieces ( 28,952,917 in total). The cubic centimetres can be bought (and relocated) along with an artist signed note of ownership for the bearer.
THE NOBODY REACHES THE STARS
This group are not on the Earth. One is on the main belt asteroid Circe (34). Another is on the north pole of the planet Saturn. Another is on a planet that orbits the star Vega and the last one is in a neighbouring cosmos, beyond the confines of our own, and in the direction of the ‘cold dark spot’ in the cosmic microwave background (that is in the constellation of Eridanus, the river).
THE MYSTERY
The location(s) of this group are unknown (two) and unknowable (two).
Update; one of the unknowns now has a known location, description and title; The Sphere of Probable Reality (see above).
